Getting My MOJO Back!

Its been a while since I did my painting a day series. Between the holidays, art shows, working, and marketing Pointless Picks for our company Completely Oblivious, Inc. the time just flew by.

So... I decided I need to get my painting MOJO back!

Since I do have a solo show coming up in March, Thank You HVCA!, I want to create more pieces to go with my 8 X 10 Michigan Flower Series. All my paintings will be acrylic 8 X 10's but larger than life!

This is first piece I have done since fall and will try to get a few paintings done a week this month. You will get a sneak preview of these paintings on my blog and I hope you enjoy them.

This is small purple wildflower that blooms in the spring. I think it is part of the flox family. I need to research it. It grows in field like conditions but also shade and wooded areas. I found these in the woods next to our house and behind our barn.

New Painting

Hi All,

I know its been a while, but you know how summer is. Its too fun and too fast! So I did manage to squeeze in a painting. This one I did as a commission for Tim Twiss of Milford Music for his new CD cover. Its a painting of the instruments he used on the CD. A banjo, bones, tambourine and jawbone. If you were wondering "Is that the jawbone of a Peruvian donkey?" well yes that is the jaw bone of a Peruvian donkey and the teeth are removable!

Dandelions Painting!

Hi Everyone! I hope this comes through OK.

"Dandelions" is not part of my "Painting A Day" series, but a new painting I did last month. The dandelion is so underated and thought our lawn looked so pretty will all those fuzzy yellow dots! So I laid down in the lawn and took a super close up picture of a really bright yellow one and was amazed at the beauty of this weed! They are such a happy little weed! I just had to paint them!
I will be back at "Painting a Day" in a couple of weeks,
but till then I will try to squeeze in a few here and there.

Tiny Dancers

My thoughtful husband bought me a tiny model when he went shopping on Saturday thinking I didn't have one. Low and behold, I had 2 already, so we added the the new one to the growing tiny model family I have. So, I had to paint them!
